 Inspired by Lou Ellen Hassold, Always Quilting has a limited number of fabulous kits available using the Diamond Wedding Star pattern, and featuring beautiful Poinsettia and Holly applique.  This quilt is gorgeous and will become a family heirloom!  The batik fabrics in this kit were custom designed exclusively for this project.  The pinks gradate perfectly for the rings, the light gray backgrounds blend nicely together, and the greens for the holly and leaves are gradated as well.  

If you purchase the kit with pattern option below, two patterns are required and will be sent for this project - the Quiltworx Diamond Wedding star, which includes all of the instructions and foundation papers for the paper piecing part of the quilt, and the Always Quilting Poinsettia Supplemental Applique pattern, which includes instructions and all of the laser cut stitch and peel for all of the Poinsettia and Holly Applique on the quilt, as well as placement directions for the applique. 

There are a number of other options available for this quilt, and for those you would need to go directly to the Always Quilting website.  If you want to purchase only the Supplemental Applique pattern and not the Diamond Wedding Star pattern (or just the Diamond Wedding Star and not the Supplemental Applique), you can do that on our website.   We also have coordinating backing available for the project.  And there are two rulers that are very helpful for the project - the Creative Grids Diamond Wedding Star Template, and the Creative Grids 60 degree Triangle 8-1/2" Ruler.  Lastly, if you'd like to stitch your applique down by embroidery machine, we have an Embroidery CD available by Vanessa Fromm for Fabric Confetti.   We also have a matching Hemingworth machine embroidery thread kit if you are doing the machine embroidery, which will match your fabrics perfectly!
