Judy and Bradley Niemeyer, from Quiltworx.com, designed the foundation blocks used to make the Lincoln Log Cabin Table Topper. The Lincoln Log Cabin is part of a series of patterns designed using Quiltworx.com Log Cabin blocks. The Log Cabin foundation paper units are designed using a technique in which part of the pieced block units are cut away after the paper piecing is completed. The cut-a-way sections are then replaced with a secondary design element referred to as the circling geese units. The Lincoln Log Cabin table topper is a fun, easy, and quick project for teaching or learning the basic steps to foundation paper piecing and curved piecing. This project was designed to be Fat-Quarter friendly, using a combination of (4) light and (4) dark fabrics!
