The Prickly Pinecones Tree Skirt is a foundation paper pieced pattern designed by Quiltworx.com.  This design was original published in 2015, but updated in 2023.  This layout for the pattern is only compatible with the 2023 pattern.  In 2023, the pattern size was increased from 60" to 62" and a couple of the techniques used in the quilt were updated to current techniques.  

By increasing the size, it is now possible to expand the tree skirt, and add a square up border and even expansion borders to make this quilt is a variety of sizes.  You can find the templates for the expansion options by clicking on the different expansion projects for Prickly Pinecones and starting a new project form there, including Prickly Pinecones 70" Expansion Tree Skirt, Prickly Pinecones 80" Square up Expansion and Prickly Pinecones King Expansion.  In each option, you can choose the border of your choice for making this quilt larger.  

On a limited basis, you might also consider using the Pinecone Wreath Collector's Club project.  Only 500 of these patterns are available and with it, you can make the 80" squared up version of Prickly Pinecones.
