The Maritime Compass is a Quiltworx foundation paper piecing pattern.  If if looks familiar, it is because it was originally published as the Mariner's Compass Technique of the Month pattern.  It was retired in 2022, and we've recently re-released it with many wonderful design details to help improve the pattern from a yardage efficiency, simplicity, and assembly perspective.  It is no longer a Technique of the Month, available to everyone, and a wonderful staple of the Quiltworx pattern library.  This version is the Queen size layout and finishes to 99" square.

You will note there are a couple different layouts in this design.  Some do not have blocks you can change, which means it follows the block colorways selected for the pattern.  However, you may want to look at alternative colorways to make your quilt.  Your pattern covers options for all of the blocks.  If you choose a colorway, you will need to choose the mixer version of this design so you can change your blocks.  Just make sure not to choose blocks that are not included in your pattern!  You will have access to all the different blocks published by Quiltworx for each of these spaces in the mixer option.  If you choose something that isn't included in the pattern instructions, you will need to either change it out, or purchase a mixer booklet in addition to your pattern to make the sections you've switched to.
